Soundaktor Another Way
Well it seems the 2019's do still have the soundaktor, but the control module has clearly been moved as there's nothing under the liner btwn my left rear wheel and the left tail light. While not *quite* as simple as unplugging the controller, disconnecting the soundaktor itself was still super easy. Took just a few minutes with no real problems. Pics below show what I did... (One note, speaker covers pop free from the INSIDE edge)

No, the speakers behind the seats (seen in the first few pictures are not disconnected. You just need to remove their covers to move the cabin liner out of the way.

Wine.o thanks for this post, it was very helpful. My wife just got delivery of her ‘19 Boxster S. We did not order sport chrono or sport exhaust (it is PDK) however is is equipped with PSE. Why, I don’t know, must be standard equipment on new models. Also didn’t care for the manufactured sound, so I followed your directions to get at the soundaktor. On this model there are two different plugs and sets of wires going to it, instead of the one set in your pics. I unplugged the brown/green red/green set and left the yellow/red with the intension of unplugging that as well if the sound was still obnoxious, but just the one plug seems to have done the trick. Now it is quiet in normal mode, but with sport mode / PSE on, the extra exhaust note is outside where it belongs.

Yet another way. You can also remove the 7.5 amp fuse (fuse 10) on the fuse panel in the trunk on the passenger side. This circuit is only for the soundaktor. Pulled the fuse before I left the dealer.

Old thread I know.....is the same fuse the soundaktor power on the 2018's? I'd like to turn that off and see the dif? I should ask if this exists in all levels of Caymans with sport exhaust?

Yes, the fuse is in the interior rear quarter panel behind the trim.
One of the first things I did with mine. (CS 2018)

Right rear side of rear trunk, just pull away the carpet. There is only one 7.5 amp red fuse, top row, right rear as you look at the box, next to the two yellow 5 amp fuses.
I just pulled mine, I didn't feel the disconnect was necessary during the top down season, but now it's beginning to get to me...

I finally did take the fuse out last weekend. I really enjoy the sound in the cabin now. No more low frequency drone in Sport Mode. I realize it's a personal thing but it's so easy to remove the fuse that one should consider it and worst case put it back in.
