Default New Shark in The Tank

Now, the road trip begins! The Blumaxx is as good as she looks, and what a runner. It feels as strong as my 86 was. This is my first manual, so that could be why it feels this way to me (it's lighter too). I think I will need that short shifter tho. The tall stick feels kind of sloppy.
Anyway, I roll from here (NoVA/DC) on Sunday morning early. Mike, I'll be by WVA around noon - best place to meet would be in Fairmont, just a tad south of Morgantown. There is a Bob Evans (or similar) at just south of Fairmont. We could meet there, and if you want, caravan thru to Parkersburg, and split from there. Maybe Kyle will join, and anyone else?
Here's pics (I love this car):

Gorgeous car!

BTW, play in the shifter is most likely the front ball cup or the rear coupler(less likely). The broomhandle shifter magnifies whatever slop there is. Note that the rear couplers being sold now don't fit the early transmissions without some modification.

Wauw, love the blue. Nice interior (not a pasha fan but it looks good with the blue). Side strip delete and sunroof delete.

per the service records, coupler was replaced awhile back. I think it's just the way they shift -
i've driven other manuals that felt the same.

Thats a really nice car /color/interior, have a safe trip.
Special note: dont let the car get wet till the hot post cover is fitted, you will need
New hot post stud with a threaded end ( to fit the later hot post stud cover) hint use the old one just drill out the end and fit a cut off bolt.
An updated threaded hot post stud cover .
A hot post cover (The black plastic)

Did that cell phone come with the car from the factory? All kidding aside that is a cool car. I love the period correctness. If you have any issues on your travels my number is five eight zero-four zero two-zero six one five. I'm now in the Cincinnati area.
