Default Showboat Post - Lots of pictures pre/post detailing

While I used to spend weeks on end detailing my Porsche, having a 3 yr old and 4 month old have had a "shrinking" effect on my personal time during the weekends. To really get the full fun/experience/warm feeling inside out of my recent 993 C2S purchase, I decided to pay someone to detail my new-to-me car in a big way. I will probably do this every 18-24 months or so, and maintain it myself in between. The detailer spent about 18 hours on the car.

Although the car only had 17k miles at purchase (18k now ), the paint was not perfect. I think that solid colors show spider webbing and light scratching very easy. Guards Red isnt quite as bad as black, but it does show imperfections. I put some before/after pictures so that you can see the progress on the paint. I am very happy with how careful this person was, and how the car came out. If anyone in the DFW area wants more info on the detailer, feel free to contact me. I have no relationship with him other than satisfied customer.

Lots and lots of pictures to follow.

John, thanks...means a lot coming from you.

The tape is to prevent the chance of any slip of hand with the buffer that might lead to burning through paint on a panel edge, also useful to prevent getting any product on the black surfaces...

You, sir, have one of (if not the best) looking cars around. I absolutely love the color and interior. Something about an S in guards red!

I can't stand up from my desk right now

Jonathan, Beautiful job on that GR!! Are you using Zaino products on it? Have you purchased a new camera? The shots look great too.
