Beauty! More info on the car? Or I could always wait for the show, I suppose.

That your Rubystone 964rs in the background?

the cars in the background are all owned by David Jacobson who started PCARMARKET. That’s also his showroom. The Ruby 964 is a gem. Only a couple thousand miles.

as far as my car it’s a 61 Rod Emory Outlaw. Started life as a notchback barn find. If you want to see old pictures from the restoration go to my Instagram page. Porschelifenyc lots of pictures and info.

A friend of mine is putting the finishing touches on the restoration of his 1958 356A Cabriolet - the cat has been apart in dry storage since 1974. He had it repainted in the original style single stage black paint and it has a green leather interior as the car was supplied with.
Its a stunningly beautiful restoration and the car has never been hit or rusted so it has the best panel gaps of any original 356 that I have ever seen. Its a black mirror that reflects everything in its surroundings.

A "good" C coupe will easily fetch $70,000, but being not original color might detract a bit. Most important is the condition of the body: rust, poor repairs of damage, and over all "fit and finish" is what is costly. Mechanical repairs are cheap in contrast.
I would check to see what 356 people are in your community and enlist their help, the 356 Registry might be a good place to start. I sold a very nice C coupe 2 years ago for $90k it needed nothing. With the current inflation and wage increase any thing that requires hours of labor to fix should affect the price. If it is solid, as in rust free, (they are out there) and drives good then buy it, maybe not as an investment but more in the way of learning about Porsche's roots and the simplistic way of driving.
