I don't know if anyone has posted this photo here before so please pardon me if it's a duplicate. I wrote an article about an old German restaurant that had been in Bellmore, NY. Someone who read the article sent me this photo but didn't know anything about it. I think it's pretty cool. The photo appears to be from the early 1960's.
^ Thx Larry! It's a beautiful little car and runs very sweetly. We had a bit of light rain this morning, but as long as there's forward momentum, you don't get too wet. WOW! What a beauty! One of these days gotta hit you up for a visit and check that out. Congrats!
According to the owner, this is the first Porsche sold in the USA. He turned down very large offers to buy it from a museum somehow affiliated with Porsche. Bought it from a junkyard for $800, restored it himself, owned a long time. Don't shoot me, just relaying the story I was told. No matter, it's a beauty!
