Default What a boring forum!!!!

Well, it's been a week since ANYONE has said a word here...
So........I'm gonna post something, anything, geeeez!

I just took Max, my 55 Outlaw out for a seroius workout. HOLY SHEEET! I'm in love with this car! It's like it's reading my mind! Take this corner faster than we've ever done it before......NO problem! It responds to every input. Let's just GOOOOO! WOW!
We live in the country (sort of) just off Hwy 7, which is a roller-coaster. Up, down, around, WOW! Did I say I love this car? Yeah!
I wouldn't trade Max for a brand new GT3! You can keep it!
Ther is nothing like a 356 on a great road, on a beautiful day!

Robert

Im envious Robert! I wish i could drive mine right now. On the other hand im almost there money wise -mid march though and she is getting shipped out!

im currently getting ready to sell stuff.. anyone need 912 seats, a fiberglass 72S front bumber/spoiler, 14 inch polished fuchs with alloy lugs and center caps (yeah.. im selling em to help buy the new heads i need), or dellorto 36 carbs? sigh..

anyways enough with the comercial break and back on topic...

youre absolutly right, a well set up vintage porsche will put more smiles per mile than any new sports car or exotic, ANY DAY. you can push these cars to their very limit, and really give them a ride, somthing you could only do with a gt3 or a carrera if you were on a track.

these cars are light weight bare bones sports cars -real sports cars, the way sports cars used to be, and we only wish could be today. they handle like no ones business, and are just too much fun. AND on top of that they have more character than you could shake a stick at.. and character my friends goes a long way as well

id rather have a forum that was friendly and boring like this than the childish griping moaning and bickering going on over in the 944 board. they are seriously getting worse than a bunch of 14 year old girls.

Wise Guy!!!!

I think we have to find a way to get you a 356. Nothing looks cooler than a garage with a 356 and a 993 parked Side by side....

Oh... just for the heck of it, here's a pic of a sign on Robert's very favorite Hwy 7:

Look at the list. Never owned a 930 either

Also we haven't owned a 964, but... nothing against those who own and love them..... we just, don't......

Ropbert

The site may be boring today but it doesn't drive me to distraction like the 356talk site manages to do. When will those folks ever get their web site modernized?

i second that one. very hard to read that big list of email messages every day. It wouldnt be so bad if there was a way to origanize or hyperlink them to the subjust list at the top of the email so you could click and get the ones you want. while the 912bbs isnt as nicely set up as rennlist, its still heaven compared to the 356talk.

Gentlemen - if you don't like the email interface to 356talk, check out my archive at www.gruv.org/356talk - updated every 2 hours, indexed and linked, etc. There's a "contact me" link if you need a password.

Jerry,

This isn't Robert but I just had to get my 2 cents in.
In response to your question.... Hmmmmm.... How about, NEVER, "They" seem to like it just as it is.
A few brave folks have tried to bring up modernization and were flamed all the way to heaven, or should I say hell for even bringing up the idea of change. Change is Bad!!!!! Routine is good!!!

We use delete alot when we are not interested in the subject matter.....

Default 356 garage

>Nothing looks cooler than a garage with a 356 and a 993 parked Side by side....

Ok. here are my objections ;-) (mild, since I also had a 356 and 993 in the asme garage at one time)

That was busy, but the 356 looked good next tot he 911 and ghia

And next to the boxster...

And next to its' sister car:

And next to the mini (Ok, so it's not the same 356 anymore)

It also looks great next to my new 73T but I can't prove it yet (no picture)

Ok, so that's my contribution to "save the rennlist 356 forum" ;-)

you get all the cool cars -two different tubs (one in that beautiful green color -my favorite for the 356!) and the sc, and then the ghia cab!!!! man thats air cooled sensory over load over here

personally i would love to have a ghia coupe as a daily driver.
