Tiktok video shows reckless GT3 driver destroying clutch in parking lot

Struggling to park and bouncing it on the rev limiter will make you cringe.

The 992 Porsche 911 GT3 is nothing short of exquisite. Additionally, Porsche made many a happy GT3 owner when they revealed that the 992 would indeed have an option for a manual transmission. Driving enthusiasts and track day fiends alike love the manual driving experience. However, there are definitely a select few people who should stick with the PDK. If you have any mechanical sympathy, turn your head now. Driving a 992 GT3 properly hard on track is one thing. This is just, well, insulting.

A TikTok user named Brennan makes his content spotting supercars in Los Angeles. However, he recently uploaded a video of this Porsche 911 GT3 cruising around a parking lot. We aren’t really sure if the driver thinks he’s showing off the car or just destroying the car for the sake of destroying it. Either way, the driver is proving one thing beyond certainty; they should not have this car.

“How to blow a clutch 101” indeed

The video starts with the GT3 struggling to get moving forward. Right off the bat, it’s plainly evident that this GT3 owner is revving the car far too high to get it moving in the first place. However, it immediately gets worse. The car begins creeping forward as the driver slips the clutch to all oblivion. Then, as if it wasn’t already bad enough, the revs climb so high that it begins bouncing off the rev limiter. Yet, the car doesn’t really start moving any faster. Nothing quite hits the spot like turning an engine at 9,000 RPM and absolutely cooking the clutch like it’s a bratwurst on the fourth of July.

Oh, but there’s more. The next clip shows the GT3 owner doing, well, we don’t really know. It appears the driver is making an attempt to pull out of a parking lot. After slipping the clutch and ever so slowly inching forward once again, the car pings a limiter that sounds like its launch control system. Obviously, a parking lot is not an ideal launch control situation. Worse yet, though, is that the driver seems to just let the car roll back and forth with a foot on the clutch pedal, revving it and dragging it endlessly.

Finally, the video comes to an end when this relentless GT3 owner pulls up to let someone in the car, bouncing it off the rev limiter once again and seemingly just keeping a foot on both the accelerator and clutch pedal the entire time.

If this event did take place in LA, someone, please point this GT3 owner in the direction of the Porsche experience center. Clearly, money isn’t a big issue, so how about you go pay for some lessons.
