It Took a Village of Components to Turbocharge the Porsche 944
Porsche truly does make some of the best rides out there, as we all know quite well. Their quality, performance, comfort, and looks easily exceed most other rides that even attempt to compete. And it’s not like Porsche just recently rose to the top; no, they seem to have always been there. Over many years and several decades, Porsche has made the best rides on the market. From their earliest creations to the 2017 sports cars that are currently conquering the streets, there is not a single ride in their lineup that we do not love.
In a throwback celebration of such longevity, today we’ll be looking at a print advertisement put out by Porsche a while back, when the 944 Turbo was about to conquer the streets. The advertisement is rather text heavy, and shows a picture of a disassembled Porsche 944 Turbo. The heading reads: “What it takes to turbocharge a Porsche, including the turbocharger.” And we understand it perfectly. After all, turbocharging a car properly takes a lot more than one would think, and Porsche was determined to do it right. Which they definitely did.
The 944 Turbo was an excellent model, and this ad definitely captures what it took to get that turbocharger to perform so magnificently. And it pretty much captures Porsche’s entire philosophy regarding turbochargers to this day.
