<i>Rennlist</i>'s Holiday Gift-giving Guide for the Porsche Fan

From gifts to protect your Porsche, to Porsche Club memberships, there’s plenty of options to make your holiday spirit bright!

It’s two weeks until Christmas! That might seem like plenty of time to find the right gifts for one and all, but before you know it, the ham’s in the oven, the Sprite Cranberry is flowing, and the wrapping paper is scattered all over the place. Thus, it’s better to have it all together now, than go bonkers at the last minute.

If you have a Porsche in your garage, or have a friend who does, then you’re likely looking for the perfect present to make everyone’s spirits bright. Allow us at Rennlist to be your personal shopper.

Porsche Club of America Membership

Porsche Club of America

Let’s start with the obvious: a membership in one of the biggest Porsche clubs around, the Porsche Club of America. A year’s worth of membership is just $46, though $132 will get you and/or your friend three years of PCA goodness. The membership includes a complimentary subscription to Porsche Panorama, a PCA keychain, discounts, access to regional and national events, and so much more.

And for the Porsche fan-to-be, $40 will get them a six-month PCA Test Drive membership, all aimed at giving them the extra push needed to go all-in on the Porsche lifestyle.

Lloyd Mats Store Carpeted Floor Mats

Porsche

If you have a Porsche, and you need to keep the carpet nice between visits to the detailer, Lloyd Mats might have the carpeted floor mat to handle the griminess of daily life. Though most of their offerings skew toward other automakers, Lloyd Mats has some camo mats to make that dirt harder to see. All you have to do is find your ride, and if they have it, you’ll be able to buy it. Prices vary, depending on what’s available, and what’s chosen.

Avalon King Armor Shield IX

Avalon King

Speaking of detailing, if you’re more of a do-it-yourselfer, you can do a lot to protect your Porsche from the elements with Avalon King’s Armor Shield IX. This magic potion is a DIY ceramic coating designed to protect your investment from everything life can throw at it, including bird droppings, sap, and Porsche-hating taggers. Prices range from $69.99 for a single bottle, to $139.98 for three bottles, giving you enough of the good stuff to cover your Porsche for anywhere between two and five years between applications.

BendPak/QuickJack Vehicle Lifts

BendPak/QuickJack Vehicle Lifts

Have more than a couple of Porsches, but need to store them in a tight space? BendPak’s line of car lifts are an excellent solution. Their four-post lifts can hold up to 40,000 pounds, and can even be had in four-car configurations.

Quick Jack

If working on your Porsche is a pain in the neck, BendPak has two-post lifts to make such work easy. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a lift, though, QuickJack is the answer, and then some. Not only are their lifts under $2,000, but they’re portable, too, especially if garage space is at a premium.

Diode Dynamics

Finally, if you have a friend who owns a 1997 through 2017 Volkswagen, and their lighting needs some freshening, Diode Dynamics is the ticket to bright lights. The company has everything from side marker LEDs for a ’97 Cabrio, to a multicolor LED footwell kit for a 2017 GTI.

Aubernon wasn't, so she became one, covering fashion in her own way for the next few years.

From there, she's written for: Louisville.com/Louisville Magazine, Insider Louisville, The Voice-Tribune/The Voice, TOPS Louisville, Jeffersontown Magazine, Dispatches Europe, The Truth About Cars, Automotive News, Yahoo Autos, RideApart, Hagerty, and Street Trucks.

Aubernon also served as the editor-in-chief of a short-lived online society publication in Louisville, Kentucky, interned at the city's NPR affiliate, WFPL-FM, and was the de facto publicist-in-residence for a communal art space near the University of Louisville.

Aubernon is a member of the International Motor Press Association, and the Washington Automotive Press Association.
