Rennlister Reviews His Porsche 911 GT3 (997)
It’s always great to promote the work of members from within the Rennlist family. Member Reggie Draper, aka rave426, recently posted a video on his YouTube channel, AutoRaveTV, giving an in-depth review of his personal 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 – and it is very good!
In the 15-minute video, Reggie highlights the pros and cons of 997 GT3 ownership. His southern charm shines through as he describes his GT3’s front storage area and especially the car’s stereo, an area of the car he brings up several times. He keeps complaints to a minimum, because he knows deep down exactly why the GT3 was developed.
At the 9:30 mark, Reggie switches from street to race track where the car is truly at home. He shows us what he can do behind the wheel, briefly explains the car’s on-track characteristics, and runs us through trail braking, oversteer, and understeer.
Of course the highlight of the video isn’t Reggie (sorry Reg), but the glorious sound the 415 horsepower 3.6-liter flat-6 emits at wide-open throttle. Be sure to turn the volume up on those speakers!
