Porsche’s Powerful Tribute Video to Muhammad Ali
Back in 2015, Porsche released a TV commercial titled, “Compete.” It focused on three iconic superstars with worldwide fame in their respective fields. Of course, one of them is the now late Muhammad Ali.
The TV commercial shown below was uploaded to YouTube by Muhammad Ali Fan, and you can now watch it whenever you want, as many times as you please.
While the commercial highlights the Porsche 911, the moral of the video is that one can only become the best by comparing oneself against the best, which in the case of this TV spot, it’s the very same people, and the very same car. Tennis superstar Maria Sharapova can be seen playing tennis against her clone (before getting herself suspended for doping), chess grandmaster Magnus Carlsen playing chess against himself, Ali fighting Ali, and of course, the Porsche 911 Carrera racing against another 911 Carrera.
It may sound silly, but when you’re at the top of the game like the superstars and Porsches shown in this video, you must look at yourself to beat yourself.
