Default RUF front bumper kit detailed

I just received a spare bumper kit from RUF. Since my car has this bumper and the splitter I use is designed to work with it, figured I'd get one just in case I quickly needed a replacement. Murphy's law says that if you have the part on hand, you'll never need it. The bumper is made out of the same exact PU material as my spare OEM GT2 bumper and it's even primed the same exact color what which makes me think that it's the same manufacturer that makes these both in Germany. The RUF bumper aero in my opinion is superior to the GT2 version as the air inlets are slightly larger and you have the benefit of the RUF built in chin splitter. RUF used that bumper back in the days on their 996 Rturbo that ran 220mph at Nardo so you can say it's proved itself.

Everything including all the ducts is included with the bumper to make a painless OEM type install. RUF did forget to include the center duct and sent the wrong side ducts in the initial shipments but quickly sent the replacement parts via 2 day UPS once I notified them. If purchasing the kit, my recommendation is to confirm all the parts and part numbers against the parts list to make sure you have received all the correct pieces.

Surprisingly they even include the left and right OEM GT2 coolant hoses which now retail for over $600 each at the dealer. Even through wholesalers these hoses are near $900 alone. My car uses all the GT2 coolant pipe architecture but I always assumed that guys with a TT simply modded the factory hoses. Looking at the instructions, they do provide aluminum plugs to mod the hoses aft of the front ones. Learn something new everyday.

Sorry, I didn’t make it perfectly clear. I’m not selling this. I just bought it. You can buy this from RUF.

Ha, no worries, thanks for clarifying. Mind sharing what it cost?

John, I finished my install two months ago and I love it.

At the Dragon last weekend:

Like you, I also received the GT2 hoses and capped off the TT hose. Just had to cut holes into the ducting behind the side radiators.

Your side radiator ducts are interesting though with the lolipop cutouts. What are the cutouts for?

There is a lot to be desired with those instructions! I ended up running them through Google Translate and sure enough, there are more steps in the German language version than the English version. It clarified a lot for me during the install, especially regarding the modification to the radiator bracket which was missing the description (but had the picture!) in the English version. I bought this based off of your prior recommendations in other threads John and I am glad I listened.

Ha! Glad you mentioned it. Looks like they sent the wrong side ducts also. The part number ends on 00 where the instructions parts list states they end in 50. I have the 2 part 50 ones on my car. I guess I have to send them another email. When did you buy your bumper?

I bought mine in December of 2022. It sat, painted, in my garage for a year before I had the time to put it on the car.

Funny I sent them an email recently about buying one. I broke my bumper and getting tired of fixing it.

Do you have any more pictures of your front end? Looks great but the picture is a bit dark.

I do as well at some point. I currently have the RUF carbon fiber front lip on my car now, which is great, but the full bumper is much better.

I guess I should send them an email but are these in stock or made to order?

I contacted RUF and they sent the replacement parts right away. You can clearly see that the side ducts they shipped were wrong. The correct ducts are the two-piece riveted version shown on the bottom. Glad you mentioned it otherwise I might not have caught it and I have no intention of installing this anytime soon so it may sit for years in storage.. Thx!

You don't need to send anyone an email. You can just order it from their website. It walks you right through it including shipping, etc. It's self explanatory.
