‘Accidentally-Released’ Developer Version Reveals Porsche Forza Debut

What you see in this featured video, courtesy of AR12Gaming, is something you’ve never seen before: Porsche vehicles in Forza Horizon 3. That’s because an exclusive deal between Porsche and Electronics Arts barred other game-makers from using Porsche vehicles for the last 16 years. Mercifully, that agreement recently ended. And thanks to what is reported as an “accidentally released” developer version of Forza Horizon 3, we’re getting our first look at the result.

Released back in September of last year, Forza Horizon 3 is a wildly popular open world racing game. It combines dazzling graphics and game play with excellent driving dynamics. And the cherry on top comes in the form of car customization. These characteristics make the game a perfect platform for Porsche fans to virtually live out their driving fantasies.

That’s why Microsoft wasted no time whipping up what appears to be an expansion pack for Forza Horizon 3 featuring a whopping 18 Porsche models. The Porsches represented span a wide range of old and new, promising to add a ton of value to an already entertaining game. As reported by Car Buzz, the full list of Porsches includes:

It’s an impressive and encompassing list for sure. But the leaked expansion pack features more than just Porsche Forza models, of course. Other goodies include the Aston Martin DB11, Audi RS6, Honda Civic Type R and Lotus 3-Eleven. But for Porsche fans, that matters little. The important takeaway here is that finally, after 16 long years, you can get your Porsche fix from multiple gaming franchises.
