L.A.’s Porsche Experience Center is celebrating its first anniversary with many exciting events, including a chance to tackle its on-site track!

Straight from the Nurburgring motorsports complex in Germany and its record-breaking lap time, the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS will be available for up-close viewing at the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles (PECLA) on Nov. 11. Celebrating its one-year anniversary, PECLA is hosting a full day of activities, including an epic celebratory parade lap. For the first time ever, Porsche owners will be able to pilot their own Porsche vehicles on PECLA’s driver development track.

The day will also feature a Porsche car corral in the main parking lot, music, entertainment, and great food. Tickets may be purchased ahead of the event.

Additional activities for the day include demonstration laps through the PECLA off-road course and one-on-one driving experiences with a Porsche driving instructor.

For the curious but less brave, there will also be simulator competitions, where guests can digitally race classic or modern Porsche vehicles on famous racing circuits from around the world.

But that’s not all! There will also be tours of Porsche Motorsport North America offering a behind-the-scenes look at how Porsche racecars are built and maintained. Plus, on display will be a rolling Porsche Museum exhibit of display cars straight from Germany, including “Sally Carrera” from Pixar’s Cars movie, vintage race cars rich in heritage, and current models you’ll get to experience up close.

Recently named “King of the Ring,” the all-new 911 GT2 RS recently lapped the punishing Nürburgring-Nordschleife in time of only 6:47.3. (The previous record was 6:52.01 set by the all-wheel-drive Lamborghini Huracán Performante in 2016.) Located in the L.A. suburb of Carson, the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles is a 53-acre complex and includes a handling course designed to mimic a country road.
