‘Porsche Effect’ Celebrates 70 Years of Excellence
Petersen Automotive Museum teams up with Porsche for a can’t-miss event chock full of amazing cars!
When you’re a brand as iconic as Porsche, each and every birthday is something special. So to commemorate 70 years of timeless automotive creations, the Petersen Automotive Museum has cooked up something truly special. Their latest exhibit, dubbed “The Porsche Effect,” promises to be one of the largest public displays of the brand in North America. Scheduled for public consumption from February 3-10, true Porsche fanatics have the chance to experience something even better.
Because Petersen is hosting a limited number of guests on February 1 for a special reception. Those select few get to enjoy a curated panel of guests, featuring names like Tommy Kendall, Hurley Haywood, and Patrick Dempsey. Along with the usual goodies like live music, tasty food, and copious adult beverages. Custom, Porsche-themed Vault tours represent proverbial icing on the cake for those in attendance.
Tickets for the epic shindig are already on sale, but sadly, VIP reception tickets are already sold out. Interestingly, however, those 50 sold for the appropriate price of $911 each. As our friends at 6 Speed Online pointed out previously, that appears to be a trend with Porsche these days, as the brand’s most famous sports car now bases out at $91,100. Because why not?
Luckily, if you want in on the action without having to fight your way through crowds of people, regular reception tickets are still available. For the also appropriate price of, you guessed it, $356. The good news is, you’re only really missing out on the 30 minute VIP reception in the penthouse. You still get to enjoy the finely curated collection of rides, panel discussion, and goodie bags.
Even better, The Porsche Effect is also a fundraiser for the museum. Meaning a large portion of your ticket is tax deductible! So if you really needed another reason to hang out in total Porsche nirvana, know that your money is going to a great cause, too!
