Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System

At what point does being a Porsche purist infringe on your ability to operate efficiently? How about the second you get lost?

Well, now, even if you drive a classic Porsche, you can still get to where you’re going with this Porsche Classic Radio Navigation System. Without any need for modification, this helpful little touchscreen unit features state of the art technology and fits snugly into pretty much any stock dashboard manufactured by Porsche between 1963 to 1998.

Just look how happy and unlost the couple looks in the promo video below, as they cruise around the winding roads with purpose. They can even hook up their iPod and rock out to some cruising tunes, what with the System’s available ports for iPhone, iPod, USB, and AUX. And since the unit is BluTooth compatible, they can even call ahead for reservations at a lovely German restaurant down the road.

According to the video’s description, the device is “suitable for all classic Porsche cars with a DIN-1 slot. From the 911 F-model, to the 911 type 993, and for both four and eight-cylinder vehicles (excluding the Porsche 356).”

What do you think? Would you pay roughly $1,300 for such modern luxury? Or are paper maps still plenty good enough for you?
