You’re Not Hallucinating, This Trippy Porsche Really Was Stolen

We haven’t seen a Porsche this trippy since Janis Joplin’s 956 went up for auction. Unfortunately, we haven’t actually seen this Porsche, other than in the photo above. And nobody else has either.

That’s because the colorful 911 was stolen from a house in Hunters Hill in Sydney, Australia either late last night or early this morning. Police there say the home was broken into between the vaguely specific hours of 10:00 pm and 2:40 am. Even more alarming, four occupants of the home were sleeping at the time.

Police aren’t sure how many burglars participated during the aggravated break and enter, but they stole cell phones, electronics, wallets, and credit cards, on top of the psychedelic Porsche. And judging from The Daily Telegraph‘s sparse report on the matter, they aren’t sure why the 911 looks like that in the first place.

Police released the license plate number, AGM-911, just in case you have trouble identifying it from the photo. If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-333-000. If you’re going to a Phish show this weekend, that number might really come in handy, so definitely write it down. Cause that’s the only place these felons could drive such a car and not stick out.
