Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Resets the Record Books Six Times

By -

One driver, one Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, six tracks, and six new production car records. And you can watch each one.

Porsche is no stranger to smashing records with their iconic 911 lineup and even the 919 Evo. It seems like, pretty much every other week, they’re resetting the record books across the globe at the most famous tracks in existence. But as impressive as those feats are, Porsche’s latest might be even more impressive. Because they took the amazing Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid to six different tracks. And they broke the record for the fastest luxury four-door hybrid sedan at every single one of them.

It’s no surprise to anyone that the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is downright fast. Way faster than a two-ton plus four-door sedan should be. But the fact that the legendary sports car maker can saddle up test driver Lars Kern and their incredible hybrid machine, head out to six different FIA-approved tracks, and rewrite the record books at each one is still rather impressive.

Plus, it’s now quite appropriate to call the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid the fastest luxury four-door hybrid sedan in the world. And thanks to Porsche, we can watch it demolish all six records individually in the videos below.

Here it is lapping the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain in 2 minutes and 18.96 seconds.

Traversing Yas Marina Circuit in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE took just 2 minutes and 31.79 seconds.

Video from Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg, South Africa, Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, India, Dubai Autodrome in Dubai, UAE, and Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar haven’t hit YouTube yet. But you can watch all of them now by heading over to Porsche’s official site.
