We can’t stop talking about the 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo that just debuted, and for good reason. It’s better-looking, the interior is refined, it handles better, and it’s faster and more powerful. Like, 4.0-liter, twin-turbo 550-horsepower V8 powerful. And yet, rumor has it that this is just the beginning for the Porsche sedan.

According to Motor Trend, who had the chance to preview the car in Germany at its launch, the Turbo S will no longer be the highest Panamera in the range. Porsche is reportedly working on a 918 Spyder-inspired hybrid. But it won’t be like the 400-horsepower V6 hybrid that’s been in the model range. This could be a V8-electric combo that could put out upwards of 700 horsepower and an astounding 800 lb-ft of torque.

Basically, that Nüburgring record the 2017 Panamera just set for the fastest sedan isn’t going to stand very long.
