Video gamers toĀ (virtually) race alongside Le Mans racers duringĀ Forza Porsche Cup.

For most, competing in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans is nothing more than a pipe dream. But in lieu of possessing real world driving skills, a sponsorship, and a lot of luck, there’s another way. Because this year’s Forza Porsche Cup video game finale will take place in France, over the same exact time period as the actual race on June 17 and 18.

The very first onsiteĀ Forza Racing Championship (ForzaRC) Season 3: The Porsche Cup has also spawned an entirely new esports category as well – Endurance Esports. The lucky finalists will do battle in a series of Porsche 919 Hybrids for some seriously awesome prizes. The best of which is the chance to accept their trophy on the actual Le Mans podium. And oh yea, $100,000 in total cash prizes.

If you want to get in on the action, there’s still time to do so. Simply head over here to register, and then you’ve got until May 28th to qualify. And even if you don’t make the cut, there are three other ways to follow along with the virtual action. During the race, tune in to the Beam livestream, YouTube, or Twitch to watch these lucky soulsĀ go head to head for gaming glory.
