1985 911 Carrera Coupe Rally Car

When you combine a really special car with a really special project and a really special charity, good things happen. Take for example this custom 1985 911 Carrera Coupe rally car.

This beautiful, unique, and highly capable rally car was built specifically to help raise awareness for the third annual Luftgekühlt, a “true Porsche happening” taking place this weekend in Vernon, California. The brainchild of Porsche factory driver Patrick Long and creative director Howie Idelson, the event celebrates air-cooled Porsches by presenting a “tightly curated list of historically significant or interesting cars.”

This custom Carrera rally car certainly qualifies as both. She’s been meticulously put together by an all-star team from the likes of Emory Motorsports, Emotion Engineering, Benton Performance, and Deus ex Machina. As such, she’s packing plenty of custom goodies, including a KW suspension sporting 9-inches of travel, BRAID Winrace monoblock wheels, hand-fabricated grilles, bumpers, and skid plates, and much, much more. And best of all, she’s going up for auction at Luftgekühlt this weekend.

Well, maybe that’s not the best part. Sure this special car is going to make its new owner very happy, but more importantly, all of the proceeds are going to the Autumn Leaves Project, a pancreatic cancer charity.

So have a look at the car in action below, and get that checkbook ready.
