Standard Adaptive Dampers
The Macan S will come standard with Porsche’s adaptive dampers and Sport suspension. Air springs will sit the GTS 0.4 inches lower, while those cars also get Porsche’s tungsten-carbide-coated brakes hat you may have seen on the new Cayenne. A GTS sport package will add launch control, a torque-vectoring rear axle, Pirelli P Zero Corsa summer tires, sport seats and even more darkened exterior trim.
Those seven new wheel designs will range from 19 to 21 inches, depending on the model. Topped by the GTS’ satin black 21-inch RS Spyder Design alloys.

Haptic Buttons and a 911 Steering. But No Android Auto
Moving inside, fans of tactile buttons may be miffed. The old car’s toggle-rich center console will make way for haptic touch panels like in the new Cayenne. But that will no doubt please more techy types. The 10.9 inch touchscreen will remains and come standard with navigation and Apple CarPlay. Oddly enough it will not have Android Auto. Macan will also get a 992 generation 911 steering wheel along with a shorter gear stick.
The base Macan arrives early next year starting at $56,250. S and GTS models will follow in the spring of ’22 and will be priced at $66,750 and $81,250 respectively, to start with.
Getting Ready for the Battery Macan
These changes come ahead of Porsche offering an electric Macan alongside this ICE range from 2023. Expect the battery Macan to go its own way in looks, while matching Porsche’s Taycan electric sedan on driving range.
