Attention wagon lovers! Porsche’s once-called “Panamera Super Turismo Concept” seems to have traveled from the concept car universe into the real world. And while we don’t know what it’ll officially be called, it won’t be as simple as the Panamera Wagon.

Seen testing at the Nurburgring was this 2018 Porsche Panamera “wagon,” which most likely be called something like Shooting Brake, Estate, or it might even take after the concept name with the Gran Turismo moniker. Regardless of what Porsche actually calls it, I think it’s bloody gorgeous.

One thing we are certain of is that the production model will not be fitted with Porsche’s latest sticker headlights and taillights, as these have yet to be approved by safety agencies, and they just look downright cheap. (Just kidding.) Regardless, it’s practically a given that the wagon version of the Panamera will feature the various drivetrain options offered on the all-new second-generation sedan, though again, no official word from Porsche, yet.

According to Motor Authority, wagons are still uncharted territory by Porsche, and based on low sales of various Mercedes and BMW wagons in Europe and across the world, creating a shooting brake variant of the Panamera could still pose some big financial risks.

While seeing a prototype at the Nurburgring is a good sign of things to come, it’s still a very long road ahead for the Panamera, errr, Wagon, Shooting Brake, Estate, Gran Turismo…
