2018 Porsche Cayenne Debuts Aug. 29 via Livestream

By -

Livestream from Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen promises a ‘spectacular’ presentation featuring music, a light show, and lots of choreography.

As much as we love the spectacle that is a good car show, automakers are slowly abandoning them. The latest example of this is the debut of the all-new 2018 Porsche Cayenne. In the past, the introduction of such an important vehicle might have been saved for a bedazzled stage. But on August 29, the revised SUV will make its world debut on a much bigger stage: the Internet.

But don’t worry, the Cayenne’s debut will still constitute a spectacle. Porsche will reveal it to the world via a livestream coming from their Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen site. And the automaker promises a “spectacular” presentation featuring music, a light show, and lots of choreography.

The whole thing kicks off at 3 p.m. Eastern time. And if you can’t fathom the thought of checking out the 2018 Porsche Cayenne remotely, the SUV will also be on display at the Frankfurt Motor Show taking place September 14 through 24.

To this point, Porsche has been very secretive with details surrounding their third generation Cayenne. They did drop a couple of teaser sketches, which kinda look like the current model. And of course, a hype video touting the legendary automaker’s history both on and off-road.

You can view the livestream by navigating to Porsche’s Newsroom on August 29. Or, head straight to the livestream here. The cool thing about Porsche’s unconventional approach to this unveiling is that everyone in the world can view it at the same time. No press pass required. And you can bet we’ll be watching.
