#900296?: (this one also came with the super-rare Porsche-Specified BBS Rim)
>> the 959 Komfort Model, almost always, came with Leather Sport Seats, there is only one exception that i know of, the car that used to belong to Herbert von Karajan, famous Austrian Conductor
>>Thanks!
>> As far as i know, it is still in that form. Basically, it was made to really be a "club racer" like Porsche claimed the Sports to be.
>>That tool was never "made by the factory", from what i know, from the person who made it, he was one of the 959 mechanics at werks I and Weissach, and he thought it would be easier to send the 959's out from the factory with this tool to aid in diagnosing. Not every 959 had this item that he personally made.
Here are some other versions:
I'm surprised he didn't order another when Porsche built a few more in the '90's.
I always suspected that Turbo S was owned by the same guy because of the stripes. Thanks for confirming my suspicions!
I want to say I think I thought I maybe perhaps saw a picture of the striped green car. Is it dark green? I could be mistaking the picture for the non-striped dark green car.

So is that BBS wheel a 'standard' 959 option? Or was that something only Werk 1 would do via extra special request? I understand the 959 probably blurs the lines a bit between 'standard' and 'Special Wishes.'
Were the BBS's also designed for the Denloc tires, or no?
It even comes with a window switch! Nice touch. But it isn't upholstered in leather..
See here, and scroll down to about halfway: http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/04/...tmotive-mecca/
Hope you don't mind I keep testing your knowledge!
Here are lots of pictures of the orange interior: http://www.4legend.com/2015/techno-c...gallery/page/1
There is a gallery all the way at the bottom. When you click for the second page of the gallery, it reloads at the top and you have to scroll down again, oddly.

While the 918 is a very beautiful car, the 959 just stirs me from inside...the 959 is officially on my cars to own list.
Saw five 959's today at Canepa's, in various phases of restoration... followed one out also.

The reason it sold for 'cheap' was its a federalized car, which was equipped with emission systems that make it California compliant upon its importation. Now that the 25 year law is in effect 959's which were federalized go for much less than unmolested examples.
