I'm not sure how many oil companies have EVER paid out because of oil failure. So easy to skate saying the owner didn't maintain something or other, too many miles between changes, mixed with other oil, damage already done from a previous owner , racing, etc.

With that logic, you shouldn't be buying: Shampoo, laundry detergent, cologne, watches, phones, digital media, Rolex, Viagra, Cialis, cigarettes, Nike's, shades, Levi's, baby formula. Heck you shouldn't be using the US dollar...

It's already been verified the Motul 8100 5W40 made available thru Amazon Prime is legit...

Received my 2nd order for (2) 4-packs this morning and only received 2 jugs, not 8 as the previous order. WTH?? This was the same seller I bought the original (2) 4 packs from.

Do I call Amazon on Monday to get the remaining 6 or just fill out the form to send these 2 back?

Not necessarily. The "by Motul" refers to the product manufacturer, but the person/company selling the product can be different. The seller/s are highlighted on the right side of the listing. The product source for each seller can vary widely, and Amazon has no way to verify every sellers' product authenticity.

The only one Amazon themselves can vouch for is the listing under their own name. In this example, it's listed on the bottom right of the picture, with a much higher price. I'm sure their listing is for 100% legit oil since Amazon most likely deals directly with Motul. "PristineParts" on the other hand can be selling from anywhere in the world and getting their oil from unknown sources. Try contacting them directly. I'm sure they'll confirm the product authenticity, but it'll be up to you to believe them or not.

For awhile, there, Amazon was the seller and the price was low...

Call their toll free number (888-280-4331) and they will make it right.

Amazon is just alright. I could tell from a UPS shipping weight of 10# that only 1 5 liter jug was on the way. I called and they said keep the first jug and they will send me the 4 pack that I originally ordered. So, I get 25 liters for $63.42. Less than $3 per liter is hard to beat!

Not sure why you feel the need to poke the hornets nest when it's clear and confirmed the oil that was shipped is good.

Not sure why I tried this after reading the reviews, but I did, and only received 1 bottle instead of 4.

Just got off the phone with Amazon. I had also just received one jug, instead of four. Amazon is sending me a four pack and letting me keep the extra one for my trouble.

I also only received one jug. Called Amazon and they are out of stock so they couldnt send me the other 3 jugs, so they gave me full refund and get to keep the 1 jug.
