Anyway, heres a couple currently available. Might also be helpful if these could go on the first page. First car includes the luggage http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...m=141831703956

and # 1026 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...m=331689661224
Boy, I thought that I'd done a better job communicating about the 40th Registry. Well, you don't need to bang out a book. It's already done. In my signature below you will find links to the Registry website (on Facebook) and to a Dropbox folder where you will find not only the "book" that you speak of (which lists all of the 40ths by number with ownership history) but also a book of those 40ths whose numbers remain unknown at this time. There are also three other documents related to the 40th cars that people have found to be helpful if not at least interesting.

The first eBay car you pointed out is Nr. 0943 by the way.

On the Registry FB page there is a section that lists all of the 40ths around the world that are for sale. I need to update it to add Nr. 0943 (thanks for mentioning it) and also to list a couple of cars overseas that just came up for sale. Most of the list is still accurate.

Take some time and browse through the FB page and the items in the Dropbox folder. I think that you'll enjoy all of it. I would welcome any suggestions to improve not only those items but how the Registry is communicated. If you didn't see anything about it between pages 19 and 54 on this thread then there must be something more that I can do.

Cheers!

Ted

Sounds like I will need to start a 1:43 collection!

Rennlist years ago stopped letting us edit our old posts. We can only edit posts for 30 days or so. So the TAZ40JAHRE Facebook and Dropbox registry is now the most complete.

I am thinking about selling my 40th AE luggage; both pieces, brand new, still in the dust bags. If I list them, what's a fair price?
Thank you.

I think the going price is about $7000 these days.

Seriously though, I don't think a 4-digit price would be nuts.

I purchased a new "left over" set from my local dealer for $1500 in 2015.

Can you imagine some guy purchased the car new in 2004 and did not return to pick up the special luggage that is delivered separate from the vehicle.

Cheers,
Paul

Thanks to all that responded.
I am going to attempt to sell my luggage; $1,200 is what is on the 40th AE FB page (thanks to TAZ). I'll likely put them on Ebay, too for a slightly higher price to accomplish the same net.
Happy new year!
Safe driving & God bless.

Nice find! If I had the PDF of this I could get my PC to translate it - I'll work on that. In the meantime I'll have to go online and order this - great keepsake.

Since you have the original magazine in front of you can you read the number on the limited edition console plaque? I'm assuming that it's 0000 because that license plate is a Porsche plate (all of the ones that start with "SGO" are).

Thanks.

Default 40th from the Porsche Museum

I thought that I'd seen that license plate before. That 40th is from the Porsche Museum. The car is one of the pre-production "0000" numbered cars - it's VIN is WP0ZZZ99Z4S600062.

Maybe I don't have my reading glasses on but does it say 50th AE on the bottom of the door?
