Congrats, I think that is only the 2nd or 3rd owner I've seen with 300k+ miles.
I'm sure people are gonna want to know whether you are a PM maniac or on the other side of the camp where you only fix what is broke.
Did you have this since new?
What is the CEL light for?

First time Porsche owner. Picked up #516 last month. Fantastic condition, previous owners treated it well. Only a few changes so far: changed side markers and installed a 997 short shifter.

Congrats on a great choice. IMO the 40 AE is a pretty special car, and a real bargain at this time. The X51, LSD, special touches throughout the car, and the limited production make the car stand out among other Porsches of this era. Love the wheels on yours, the car sits well.

Registry Website
Hey, folks - for those who aren't Facebook users we've now got a regular website for the 911 40th Registry. Check it out when you get a chance. I'd appreciate any feedback on changes, improvements, etc. Many thanks to our fellow owner 40_Jahre_911 in Germany (Nr. 0568) for working with me on this.

Bienvenue!
When you have a moment would you please shoot me an email at 40jahre911@gmail.com? I was going to send you an email to ask you something about your car but realized that I did not have your email address in my records.
Merci!
Ted
PS - here's a pic of Didfox's Nr. 0092 that he shared with me before - I've always loved this pic!

Hello fellow renners. Crossing over from my recent loitering in the 964 forum. Looking at a 996 as my next potential acquisition, and I came across a 40 AE. Figured I'd get it in front of the experts. It needs some work I think. He has written some of it up in the description.
So, based in mileage and work needed, does it feel about right money wise? Any advice very welcome. Here's the car -
