Default New 2015 991 GTS in Agate Gray

Hi folks,

This is my first time posting here. I purchased a new 2015 GTS in agate gray, 2 wheel drive, PDK, GTS interior. I have put about a 1,000 miles on it and I think it is truly fantastic! What a special car!

Prior to the GTS, I had a 2009 Carrera 2S with manual transmission in meteor gray. Before that, a 2001 Boxster S in triple black, manual.
But I love the GTS.

Here are some video links to have a look at my car:

First overview and start up:

A look at the options:

First driving impressions:

Closer look at the interior:

And here are some photos:

Thanks! I love the agate gray color. I don't see many in that color. And for the interior, I specified the GTS option, which brings the red tachometer, red stitching in leather surfaces, alcantara inserts on seats, doors and other areas, etc. It is odd to me that the GTS interior is an option on the GTS. You would think it would be standard.

Thanks! I just love this car. I was so excited to get it. There was still snow on the ground when I took delivery in January and with summer tires installed I didn't want to drive it in that slop. So I made that first video simply to spend time with the car!

5200 rpm with the oil at 36 degrees? Hmmm...

Pretty car, though.

Beautiful! I think that the Alcantara comes even if you don't choose the GTS option though. You have to choose leather in order to delete it since it is standard on the GTS.

Drive it like you stole it!

I think a lot of people, myself included, would opt out of the GTS interior. I've been on the fence about changing my S order to a GTS. If I do, I'd go with the standard interior myself. All personal preference.

OK, I get it. That makes sense. Not everyone would want the GTS interior. As you know, the GTS comes with a number of other goodies standard that cost a whole lot more as options on the S. Variable engine mounts, Powerkit for the engine, PASM standard, etc. Factor that in to your thinking about the S vs GTS. Depends on what spec you want for tour 991 I suppose.

Caught me! I was too excited. Not advisable to do that, obviously.

Yup, I've run the numbers and it's an $8,500 spread between the S and the GTS, in the manner I'd configure each. Not a big amount in the grand scheme of things, but not sure I want to keep pushing it. Only have a few days to decide.
