How can it have that low of miles but be missing the original wheels?

plenty of incorrect production data in that ad. Too bad they didn't check the registry website.

How did they come up with that estimate? I know Mecum throws out some crazy numbers from time to time, but this one I cannot even fathom pulling data to explain.
Maybe they used the numbers for a low mile 964, and then 40% because 968 is 4 better than a 964?

I don't think 100k would be crazy if you were a collector, in fact I could see the factory buying a car like this back. Remember cars like this are usually in collections.
If this is a one owner car, I would imagine it was bought as a toy among many toys, driven once in a while but kept as a collectible.
Now if you wanted this to drive around then yeah 100k is nuts

This car has been for sale on the net for a while. It was owned by someone out west who never drove it and ended up at a dealer in Florida. They had some wild story attached to it about being the first 968 cab delivered in the US. It is an early car, #151 of 2,008, with an October 1991 production date, but far from the first in the US. 1 of 134 Polar Silver cabs. Factor in the black top and classic grey interior and it becomes 1 of 21. Only 3 options: metallic paint, partial leather, and XD4 painted crest center caps. 16" cup1s when new. Looks clean. The classic grey does NOT hold up but this interior does look great and the grey hasn't started to change colors. I hope he does well.

I said it earlier to a friend of mine, I will eat a hat if this 968 hits 100k.
(as a caveat I will make said hat out of bacon)
