Are you replacing the front cracked rotors?

soon Early ... are you concerned?

the cracks are lengthening but none are extending to an neighbouring hole
or to the edge just yet .. but I have a few road kms to do before then

I do the same with the cup car ... wonder if Giro makes rotors (stock c2 fronts)?

Calipers on ... All cracks within spec (will keep a close eye on it)
Also the fixed hooter refitted and ordered pipes for the electric power steering pump

And at last the Engine is in ... Exhaust sounds solid with the old 3/3 cylinders now mixing
in the transverse box thanks to GT3 type x-pipe ... But 6k revs needed to confirm that

... But with bigger injectors total remap is needed
as engine (after some basic adjustment) running too rich

Also double checked ignition system - rotor, caps, new plug wires
and re-marked TDC (nail polish FTW!)

Let's hope tomorrow goes smoothly and Dyno has a space for me.

busy day ... shark fin and runner back on, windscreen pasted in
finishing touches on calipers, power steering pump bracket made (thanks Robt) and test-fitted
back bumper alignment and refitting is a major mission (as I was warned)
but engine peaking through louvres looks ready for me to get done already!

well it was hot today (27deg) and tuning took a while as we let the car cool down frequently
but the injectors now running smoothly and RSe is back home after a spirited test drive

Injectors at a comfortable 75-85% duty cycle vs the previous 99% and with the road exhaust the Power is still 315bhp
with Torque slightly better a 320nm - idle at 950 and solid
which I'm happy with ... although was hoping that despite the bigger mufflers we would make more.
Advancing the timing beyond 17deg at the higher revs proved difficult though so 14-16 used which is not much

The electric power steering is slightly heavier than before which is better than too light
and the car generally feels tighter and slightly leaner ... will weigh in the next two weeks
but my spare parts stash got 2 boxes bigger with PS pump, bottle, pipes and mounting brackets etc..

Body and interior refresh going well and door cards are loose fitted - will post some pic once they're tight tomorrow .. a few surprises but nothing earth shattering ... but paint correction, touch ups & new windscreen was worth every cent

Now just to decide on the side scripts and windscreen strip if any .. will wait a few weeks and let it simmer

Hard choices in the am .. although the low Km Mk1-3 is going into storage for a while soon

Great stuff -

I vote black 'Porsche' side stripes and delete side repeaters

I'm seeing it FP maybe with a tiny twist

... just a bit of pro-polish in the mean time ... just need some spacing done to widen the track a little

handed the detailing over to a pro ... the results continue to amaze
You cant see the yellow in your GPW paint ... until someone removes it!
Real camera instead of grubby handed cell pics for a change.

Looking good man. Lots of nice details. I like that electric PS pump in the front.

Is the angle of the harness belts safe for your back in case of an accident?

thanks V .. I've used GT3 eye bolts into the seat-belt bolt holes from the back seats
effectively the 2 lap and single crotch belts (6 point) pull against those shoulder belts
and lever on the seat downwards thanks to the GT3 seat back holes
.. I'm no expert but seems pretty kosher to me
What am I missing?

they do note they dont like the larger angle ...when HANS device in use

Wooohoo looks amazing. Fantastic work! Your door cards really turned out well. A great personal touch. So tell me, rounded to the nearest 1/4 of an hour, how long do you typically spend staring at your engine bay each day

I want my shroud, fan & plenum to look like yours now

If you want to brighten up the bay further perhaps consider removing the sound pad. I ditched mine the other day and can tell absolutely no difference in sound levels. It now no longer looks like a cave.

From the pics, yours are running at exactly the angle Scroth says they should not? ie diagonally straight down from the seat. I imagine this is where harness bars come into play so teh belts go straight backfrom your shoulders and not downwards
