Ken,

This mount was actually designed around those molded poly pucks - another another mount manufacturer uses them, and is willing to sell them to me at a reasonable price so I can avoid added tooling costs and production minimums. However, its a simple "donut" so could easily be cut on a waterjet if someone needed a specific durometer. I will provide CAD files and prints for the inserts for those who want to send out for custom isolators.

The same company I am sourcing these inserts from also has a solid lower puck available made of the same material Using a hollow lower reduces the vibration considerably more, but I will have the solid inserts available as well.

I may consider making the other version I have designed, but because of the cost of the inserts, it would be more expensive than the OE Porsche mounts, and really only cost justifiable for those who are racing or need even more adjustment to clear the hood or chassis for a custom engine configuration. In that case, a more expensive mount would be cheaper than a custom cross-member or hood.

I spoke with Roger Tyson (Parts Supplier Extraordinaire) and he offered to sell these after they are field proven. So hopefully we can get some test sets our for review, and then stocked at 928sRus shortly thereafter.

Thanks for all the support guys!
Hans

Fantastic. Another example where necessity is the motherhood of invention - not happy with current mounts, design a better one. Great job Hans.

How much time do we have to wait for tests? Who are the testers? Do you want testers?

I am having at least one set cut next week. I dont have official testers yet, but will get some lined up after I have the first mounts made.

Thanks

Brilliant!, my mounts are too high for some reason, these would save me a massive hassle, even accounting for redoing the mounts!
I am in awe of your capabilities, inspirational to us all to better than we can imagine.
