Name: Cody
Age: 23
Occupation: Operations Coordinator/Crew Chief for Icelandair in YYZ.
Non-Porsche Hobbies: Flying, working towards flying commercially. I'm also a huge music nerd.
Porsche Genesis: My dad. He always loved Porsches. When I was 16 I wanted a fun car. For reasons I can't explain, I wanted a Pontiac Fiero. But, I had to drive both my sisters to school, so my parents said whatever I bought had to have 4 seats. I tried to bring home a Nissan 300ZX 2+2, but they told me it had to be a 4-cylinder. I ended up with a $2500 944. Now I'm on my second one!
Rennlist: Found it when I realized the only way to afford one of these cars was to do all my own work. I've been on here for a few years now. I know Butters (Keith) from instagram for sure.
I'm roughly an hour north of the GTA if there's anyone else in the area. Everett, to be more specific. Pretty close to Hockley Autosports.

Porsche Genesis: When I was growing up my buddy had a brand new 1987 944 turbo. He modified it and it used to blow the doors off my modified Mustang GT. I knew I had to have one some day. First I bought an 84na and then the 89 turbo.

Name: Daniel Winter
Age: 25
Occupation: Graphic Artist for Orchard Supply Hardware
Non-Porsche Hobbies: Drawing, crafting, backpacking, sports, paintballing
Porsche Genesis: No real Porsche history in the family. Was big on designing and drawing cars as a kid, and fell in love with the design and personality of the 944. Owned a Guards Red 84' 944 for 3 years. Coming up on my 4th year with a Alpine White 83' 944.
Rennlist - A lot of search results landed me here and was inspired by the community here to join.

it would be interesting to see a Liberty Walk style set of flares on a 94x.

Name: Peter
Age: 48
Occupation: Retired Microsoft, now own Yakety Yak Wireless, we fix iphones and iPads
Non-Porsche Hobbies: Runing my Ford Raptor in off road events, motorcycling, skiing, photography.
Porsche Genesis: My Dad as well - he got his first Porsche in 1983, a 944, then stepped it up to a 944 Turbo, then an 89 911 C2, and for quite a while and 100 point 550 Spider (now owned by Robert Ingram). he is a huge car guy, my middle name is Briggs if that gives you any clue.
Rennlist: Knew about it for quite a while, but was too wrapped up in my F430 and Raptor to take on a third board. 430 is gone in anticipation of arriving GT3, so have no excuse now.
I'm located in DFW, usually visit the tracks (on road) 2-4 times a year, and off-road about 6-8 times a year. Drifting your 911 around a corner is a great feeling, but nothing, nothing - can beat the feel of launching a 6200 pound beast five feet in the air.
Currently own 3 Porsches, the GT3 will make it 4.

Name: Brian
Age:44
Occupation: Project Manager / Chief Estimator in the roadway construction industry
Non-Porsche Hobbies: Coaching youth sports for my 10 year old, yard work, golf spending time with the family
Porsche Genesis: lived for 8 years in Germany so I grew up around VW/Audi/Porsche, my first new car was an 87' Golf GTI (first was an 84' Dodge Turbo Colt, really cool car, wish i still had it). A former coworker gave me his 944s project car which he purchased at an auction for $300. He never got beyond changing the fuel filter, battery and trying to start it. Turns out it was a $300 car because the engine overheated and suffered a cracked block. The day he spent trying to "start" it he pumped it full of fluid and bent most the valves. So for the last several years I have been slowly acquiring the necessary parts for a new engine. Just about done!!!
Located in Ormond Beach, FL (just north of Daytona)
Rennlist: keeps coming up in my searches for technical help and guidance

2012 Volvo S60 T-5 (wife)

Name: Rick
Age: 45
Occupation: Mechanical Technician at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (FT) and also work at O'Reilly Auto Parts (PT)
Hobbies: More interests than I have time for. I used to fly radio controlled sailplanes a lot, then our club lost it's field. I've tinkered with motorcycles recently ('87 Honda VFR700, '95 Ducati 900SS). I've been playing around with cars since I started driving them.
Porsche Genesis: For a long time I really wanted a Ferrari 308, but they're not really practical as a DD (only because they attract too much unwanted attention) and if there's a 'Porsche tax', then the Ferrari tax is twice as much. Rebuilds on their 3.0 V8s can run 20K easy. After ruling out the 308 I considered the Porsche 928. I always liked those, but their V8s are impractical for the nearly 100 mile trips I make between the east and south bay in the S.F.Bay Area, so I've settled on the 944. Unique enough to pique my interest, but invisible in a crowed and unlikely to be messed with by punk kids when parked in a parking lot somewhere. Unlike a lot of people here though, I never cared for the 911 series cars...funny looking and I just don't get them at all

Age: 19
Occupation: Mechanical Engineering undergrad at Lawrence Tech, also works at parent's tennis shop.
Non-Porsche Hobbies: Tennis, WW2 history, xbox(Forza), college, improving my car knowledge and skills as best as I can.
Porsche Genesis: My dad bought and still owns his original '74 911, my uncle bought and still owns his original '79 911SC and an '85.5 944. Growing up around these cars, I've always dreamed of owning a 911 and 944, so I went ahead and bought my first, an '84 944 to work and learn on, and enjoy!
How did I find out about Rennlist: I browsed the internet for a Porsche forum, this was the first one that came up. Been here over a year now, and it's been fun so far!

Name: Chris
Age: 43
Occupation: FT Inside Sales for The Music People (Pro audio distributor), PT Composer for Games, film, and have several releases out. Both pay but the FT supports most of the Porsche hobby.
Hobbies: Besides Porsches, want to get into track, Renn Faires, Fencing (non competitive), volunteering for cat rescue organizations, and discovering great craft beer.
Porsche Genesis: I had wanted a Boxster for many years. In 2007 I found a silver 1999 with 48k on the OD and a few days later owned it. This seemed to be the catalyst for my wife as she liked cars but now is nearly obsessed...which is a good thing!
We still have the Boxster and I have put nearly 100k on it. It's part of the family. As I didn't want to bring it to the track I added two 944's to the stable. An 83 in the rare Copenhagen Blue that I am slowly restoring for my wife, and an 87 S that I just revived and will be the DE/track car.
My list of future wants include a Macan S, Mid-80's 991 (since 993's are outrageous), and a Cayman of some sort.
Other cars: 07 Rabbit (want to sell soon), 2010 Tacoma with two package (you can see why I wanted that), and my wife has a 2007 Mazda 3s.
Previous cars of note: The only other fast car I had was a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 that I traded towards the truck. I liked the speed but hated the clutch and only kept it two years.
