The entire color combo on that car is spot-on, Jeff. Great work and can't wait to see the finished product.

I have been busy getting stuck into painting the roll cage, and doing the final flow coat of the car this week. Once all of the painting is finished I will tear down the booth and get stuck into the engine.

As for the engine, the guys at Performance Developments in LA have reached out to me and they want to help out with building a special engine for this project. I still need some parts.

If anyone has an aluminium case, later model heads, cam decks or cam covers for a reasonable price, let me know. They can be in the US or Aus (or anywhere in the world for that matter). You would really be helping out to make this build something special.

Thanks guys, here is the video.

Jeff.

Well I have been busy again this week and I have chopped the car back AGAIN, and flow coated it AGAIN, but this time I have a much better result. I am very happy with the way it has come out and although it will not win any car show awards, it is not too bad.

This week I have gotten myself some wheels and before I tare the booth down I decided to paint them up. While I was at it, I wanted to give the front and rear bars another coat of clear to chop out the edges from the black lines I painted.

Here is the video.

Haha. I was an airbrush artist, so I painted artwork on them. I didn't respray them though. I have very limited experience with the clearing cars, which is really where the finish is. But that said the main thing to getting a good finish is all in the prep work, and there is no easy way to cheat that.

Well keep it up and thank you for the little side video you did at the Historics event. That was awesome.

I know just how nerve racking clear coat can be. I had a seagull take a dump on my ducktail just days after I painted it. Ate right threw while I was parked on the Santa Barbara pier on vacation. Kill!!!

Well this week I have been busy getting my hands greasy again, and I have started tearing down the engine.

I do have a question that you might be able to help me with on a black wire that I can't figure out where it goes... I will share photos, since you just dismantled the engine, you might be able to share what that wire is for...

I did not noticed the cut black wire when I was dissassembling mine...

I will have to take it all apart again to trace that wire... ...plus I want to repaint the covers to match the orange used in the shocks... from red tins and fan shroud to Koni orange...
