DEUTSCH NINE 968 project car...
Hi all
Most of you already have seen the pictures of one of our current projects...a slightly accidented 968 which initially seemed to be just a few days quick-fix which during dismantling then turned into an absolute nightmare and making it necessary to re-name it to Frankenstein...
it made us suffer a lot as we had to sand down two layers of bad paint and it also offered a nice selection of surprises on they way down that route
anyway, a few weeks later we have mentally recovered so with some time and distance in between we may consider things from a positive perspective again (until I have to drop the engine in two weeks time )
To look forward I have attached you a few pictures of some nice new parts which the vast majority of you haven't seen yet:
High quality FRP wings, weighing 3.6 kg's per unit and offering a perfect finish. Once painted they will look like metal wings:
Fully refurbished rear lights (check how strong the red on these ones is - better than new!)
TRS front bumper (large main inlet) including some nice bolt-in foglight delete air inlets and the TRS splitter:
And a TSM one piece 968 TS wing which has been cut in pieces by a well-known rennlister and english tourist coming to Switzerland not having enough lugagge space
I can't wait to see the front being assembled and some 993 headlights fitted in..it will look very "993 GT2 ish"...
Hope you like the parts and sorry for the low quality cell phone pictures!
Cheers
Beni

Something from Raj you needed for the turbo conversion; I packed it in a plastic bag but the suitcase was inspected, they probably opened the ziplock to see what it was, and didn't reseal the bag.
Raj, do you remember what it was?
I'm hoping for a UK visit in first quarter 09, would love a ride on the boat.

Hi Jon yes they are the famous rear lights mate
Moook, Beni first used Swissvax cleaner fluid "standard" to remove any light swirls marks from the plastic surface which occur over time from cleaning the car with a sponge and then used a red tinted translucent plastic lacquer from a spray can to provide a deeper red color to restore them to better than new condition
I will ask Beni to post a thread on how to do this as this is a good option for all 944 owners so you can tint out the orange indicator and reverse lights to give a more modern appearance as he has done on his 951.
I will dig a picture out showing the rear of his car shortly
