Then I had to figure out how to attach the release arm from the hatch receiver to the solenoid. It came with an arm that slides onto the plunger from the side. I decided to cut that arm off at the proper position that would allow for full travel once mounted, then slot the plastic so I could put the hatch arm in the slot and put a screw through it.
