On the console, the top mounting holes were broken out pretty badly, so decided to attach some aluminum stock to it with some rivets and I can screw theiugh the aluminum to mount it securely. I cut a curve into the aluminum so the ends were solid but the flapper door could move freely past it without touching. The vacuum actuator on the old console worked better and smoother than the new one, so swapped that over too.
