I drilled holes in the mounting surfaces of the tabs so the epoxy could penetrste through for a stronger bond, then added some more on top and pressed it with a clamp. This has the aluminum brackets sandwiched between the epoxy layers with connecting material theiugh the holes. Should be nice and solid.
