Hard to see, even in real life, but if you look closely at the ends of the bar, you can see that there's not a clean line with the rest of the connector when the bar is depressed

This was the better of the 2 sides. Not much needed to repair this side but you can still see the general surface pitting under the powder coat.

I couldn't really repair this edge very well so I mostly just sanded it a bit and hoped the powder coat would help stabilize things.

Some of this is from the corrosion, some of it from my lack of patience in sanding the Lab Metal to real smoothness

Not the best but I take comfort in knowing that it will be hidden.

Nasty, oxidized screws, where they weren't cleaned up in the media blaster. Even so, you can see how pitted the heads were

All I did was take out some frustration on the screw. At this point it was Screw 1, Me 0

Ordered from a place in the UK. Great quality from what I can tell so far. You can see a couple of the pinpricks I had to put in to remove some bubbles.

It's a little difficult to avoid some damage to the paint on reinstallation when the nuts slide around on the tube, as you can see on the right in the picture.

I'm still deciding on what to do about shims. The car hasn't had any while I've owned it and I don't know how much of a difference it would make to things.

That big pile of dirt is from the cleaning I've done while the car has been up on the lift. I'm thinking I've got the equivalent of about 5 HP back ;)

The black connector will also have a 90 degree backplate eventually, to route the wires away from the block

You can see that one ground is already connected to the point on the engine block. The bellhousing ground is on the bottom.

The 2 missing bends would bring the middle of the tube in between the 2 little fingers which are cast into the caliper. Usually, there is a foam tube thing that lives around the tubing and fits into the fingers
