Post Experience or comments on Bridgestone RE730

Hi-

looking for comments on Bridgestone RE730 for a 1991 Carrera 2 (964). Anyone with experience or perhaps heard not-so-nice things about this model tire?

Thanks
jon

I've heard a lot of nice things about them, and just had a set mounted on my 77 911 yesterday. Too soon to tell, but on a couple of on/off ramps last night they felt good!

They grip very well. Have 1000 miles on
the set and starting to get some road noise on concrete surfaces.

I had these on my 95 993 (17") and was impressed. For the road, they definitely are good enough, and the price is right as well.

As for the track, they hold their own, but might be a touch more slippery than a higher grade (and more expensive) tire. But still very acceptable, in my opinion....

Best street tire for the money. I have said it before, I will say it agian, if your driving outperforms these tires on the STREET, then I think you need to tone it down a bit and get on the track. At almost half the price of the big buck tires, its a no brainer.

Alrighty- I've put the new skins through their paces and I am throughly pleased. Its like night and day in comparison to the Yokohama AVS that were on there before (and they ain't crappy tires themselves). I have yet to hear a squeal and they break loose predictably and smoothly. Yeah!

Thumbs up

I've got about 4K miles on my '88 928S4. Great tires in the dry, and even better in the rain. (fellow Washingtonian here). If you like the performance now, just was a few K, I don't think mine reached maximum adhesion until I had about 3K on them.
