Default 1 year after heat cycling...tires still good?

Called tire rack on this one, they didn't have an answer. Tires were bought and heat cycled (by the Tirerack) in May of last year. Been in storage inside since, not on car.

Would they still be good, assuming a date of manufacture of say 2008?

Thanks
Scott

If they are 255/40R17 R-compounds, no. You can send them to me, and I'll dispose of them for you. I honestly can't fathom it would be a problem.

Seriously, though. Like I said, I can't fathom it would be a problem. I am trying to recall if I have driven on tires like that - I think that I have, with as many problems as the car I had been driving has had over the past few years. I believe that it is UV that breaks down the tire compound and makes them hard. If they've been inside, out of teh sunlight, you should be good to go.
