Default Tire Pressure

My $20 digital tire pressure gauge is about +2-3 pounds higher than what the Tire Pressure Management System says for all 4 tires of my tires. Which is more accurate: the Porsche TPMS or the digital gauge? Thanks.

Regards,

I don't have any experience with TPMS, but have seen quite a few postings here and elsewhere claiming their TPMS is under-measuring tire pressures by several psi compared to their hand held gauges. Of course, a hand-held gauge may be off too. I generally test 3 or 4 different gauges of the same brand before selecting one, and the range of readings they give may vary by 3 psi.

In 2 years of ownership, the TPMS readings have never matched what the $50 AccuTire digital pressure gauge reports.
