Default Minilite Wheels

I am looking for pricing information.... I have four Minilite wheels that I wish to sell and have no idea as to pricing. These are true Minilites; 15 by 6.5; five-bolt pattern; they have been painted silver metallic. Used for a number of years on my DE 914-6.

Thanks...I think 1K is a good place to start. Perhaps a vintage racer might find these interesting as well....

There is a guy here locally in NJ that runs them on his 1969 911, and they look incredible on his car.

They are great looking wheels but quite heavy compared to OEM wheels.

It depends a lot on whether you have the aluminum Minilites (likely) or the magnesium ones. The magnesium ones usually worth a lot more, if you're lucky enough to have them. Not surprisingly, the magnesium ones are also lighter. The aluminum ones and magnesium ones looks different -- you can probably find pictures if you look around. I think there was a thread on this topic on the Pelican board.

You can now buy "new" minilite wheels.. same 6.5x15, 5 bolt, 5" backspace. I know because I was working with someone in Ohio who is a distributor for Minilite. "new" (aluminum) with shipping and the bad exchange rate, are about $250/ea (well, for a 4 bolt version, but the only difference is the boring of 5 holes vs 4)

Back in the day, I had a set of minilites on my 914. Haven't seen them around for a long time. About a couple of months ago, I was with a friend at a pick-a-part in San Bernardino (Jarupa) and there was a 914 totally gutted; however, the minilites were still on the car. I didn't have enough $$$ to buy them, and went back the next day to buy them and of course they were gone I would probably have put them on e-bay
