Wheel hunt for '86 951 -- Help!
Stock sizes are:
Front: 205/55 R16 on a 7x16 w/ ?? ET
Rear: 225/50 R16 on a 8x16 w/ 23.3mm ET
Help?
Yes, I'm aware that there aren't many wheels out there that'll fit, which is why I'll need to run spacers. But, spacers do concern me.

Both the 951s 7 and 8s are 23.3mm offsets. You will not need to run spacers as they "came" on the car and have the same offset as the 1986 7/8" 944T phonedials.
Those 911 owners in the know, will pay big bucks for 951 8"s because they can be put on the FRONT of a 911. Then they put 930 9's on the rear (this is for SC type body 911s)
The 7's are nice for 911 guys who have upgraded to larger brakes. Because of the location of the lug bolt holes (recessed) you can run 944T rotors on the front of a 911 without needing a spacer.
My point is.. 911 guys like the 951 7/8 Fuchs.. and they were only made for 1 year. By 1987, the 944 offsets were changed (somewhere around 52mm), so they are rare indeed.
I have also seen 951s running with 8's up front and 9s in the rear. Looks downright agressive on a lowered car.
ABout 4 years ago I bought a set of 951 7/8 fuchs for about $800. Nowadays, the price for the 8's alone is about $1000. 9's are also about $1,000 for two. So.. now you could be looking at anywhere from $1000-2000 for "the right" sized Fuchs. Almost makes aftermarket wheels look cheap. Also realize that the Fuchs will have 20 years of "use" on them.
