No problem. I dont work on the weekends. However, my wife works every other weekends and the time she works during weekend I take care of my two year old son. So basically, we need to do this when she is not working so she can take care of my son while we are out in the garage.

I will post my available weekends tomorrow and we can all take consensus on what is the best date to do this. Again, if y'all decide to have it here, I will take care of the Pizza, beer, soda, music, etc..
Seriously, this would be such a cool event if it ever happens.

Another issue here..Seems like lego, Socal, and Julie are very knowledgeable about our cars. They offer advice to the best of their knowledge, and offer help for FREE. Its amazing how generous these people are especially to a newbie like me. SO, i think that we need to have a personal "disclaimer" if this event ever happens. **** happens when working with cars no matter how good you are. I am very good with computers, but sometimes things just happen (rarely though).

When I say disclaimer, it means that you are voluntarily attend the event, at your own risk. If people happen to offer help and advice, they are not to be blamed for something that may have gone wrong with your car.
Doesn't this sound fair?

Another thing...since I have never driven any other 944's but the one I have, it would be nice if someone can let me take their n/a car for a spin around the block. This way, I have something I can compare to and I can tell if my car is running "normal" or crappy. Anyone is welcome to take my car for a spin of course.

We'll see what we can work out... I usually don't let many people drive my S, but since you are being so gracious as to let us use your property, we might be able to arrange something... now granted, i have about 40 hp over you, but still a nice benchmark...

Hi there! You all have been busy, I must say. Sorry, kind of down due to a crown on a tooth problem, which is being taken care of over the next few days, and the painkillers are making me a little loopy.

Esan Miguel, you be da man! Let us know time and such.

Legoland951, thank you! Everyone else, let's just make sure we have all th tools, okay?

Jonas, I am checking; but you'd have to assist at the very least, no one gets to just watch on their own car!

Not even me...I was in there under the hood, helping.

With the exception of Jonas, everyone here has an 8v car, right?

Has anyone looked at the differences with a 944S?

I'd like to benchmark my car against an 8v to get a realistic view.

I don't necessarily need to do my belts at that moment (since my belts, water pump, rollers are less than 30K miles.). However, whats important is that I watch and take notes on the procedures so I can do this with more knowledge next time. I like to get my hands into things, and would be assisting anyone if they need help.

I can do the belt on my 89 turbo for anyone who wants to see how its done and though its really beat up, its very fast so any of you want to benchmark a decent running turbo can come along for the ride.
