For anyone who docked at Benicia from the Daisy Leader, my car arrived at the dealership yesterday and i am now 11/11 of my steps. Hoping anyone else who was also on the Daisy Leader at Benicia got some update.

I also got the TYD update, but no word from my dealer. Will text him today. It's a 3 hour drive, with traffic. Hope it gets to dealer tomorrow.

I just came back from the dealer to sign the paperwork. Car is now in my name and the journey is officially over. It's going in for PPF tomorrow, so hopefully I'll come back to this thread one last time to post my graduation pics next week.

What an epic journey that was -- I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Wow they processed it quick. My pickup day is Thursday. Apparently they had a ton of cars come in all at once so no way to get mine done in a day.

Yeah, the dealer knew I was impatient to get it over to my PPF shop because it’s going on a roadtrip in a couple of weeks, and the delays had eaten into almost all my buffer. He was very understanding — paperwork was done in 10 minutes and PDI took about an hour to clear.

PPF process starts today!

Yeah basically same thing happened to me. All these delays ruined a ton of plans i had for the month i expected to have my car. My PPF wasnt scheduled till Saturday so my dealer wasnt as rushed but he told me he would make sure i get the car before then so i did appreciate that.

Ahh, 12 days to go until PEC LA pickup day.

For anyone still waiting for a 718 BGTS4.0, here's what the final TYD dates ended up being:

Took delivery of my BGTS 4.0 yesterday after work. Totally worth the wait. Such an amazing car. Very different from my GT4 but not in a bad way. Cant wait to drive it more.

It was a long journey for the both of us. Congrats -- the car came out great.

Do you still have your GT4? I'm curious what your reasons for either adding or replacing it with this car are.

A lesson I learned while waiting for my Porsche, which was on the Daisy Leader, was that the TYD software showing the track of the vehicle going through the Panama Canal and docked in San Diego WAS ENTIRELY MADE UP.

I got a call from my dealer saying the delay was "caused by congestion at the Port of San Diego." The TYD track on my app showed the car passing through the Panama Canal and a couple of weeks or more sitting stationary at the Port. So I wrote to the Port of San Diego and received a personal call the next day from the Port Director saying there was no congestion at the port whatsoever. No ships waiting, no parking lots stacked up with cars.

In fact, the Daisy Leader was forced to go around the bottom of South America because the Panama Canal was backed up. When my dealer told me my vehicle was delayed at the Port of San Diego this was a complete fabrication. In fact, at the time of his call, the car was at sea, somewhere off the coast of Chile. That was the cause of the delay - the longer ship route. The TYD track I had on my app showing it going through the Panama Canal and docked for weeks in San Diego was just made-up nonsense, probably pre-programmed by some coder.

So my lesson learned, is that if you are relying on TYD for a delivery estimate don't waste your time - it's all BS.

Well- my car is at the dealer, and I'll probably pick it up tomorrow. For all the fellow Daisy Leader folks, my experience this time around was not as bad as the car I ordered in 2022. In the end, once you see you car in the flesh, you forget all the waiting and issues (at least I do), and get excited all over again. @Xxyion - you have great taste! Was fun hanging out with everyone, and I hope that all the folks waiting get their cars soon!

Well......THAT ......was a VERY long wait.......my car, a GT4 RS in GT Silver arrived yesterday morning at my local dealer in Las Vegas.

My car completed production May 22
Arrived at the port of Emden on May 24
Loaded on to the Daisy Leader which was scheduled for the extra long cruise around South America, June 20th
Eventually it arrived at the port of San Diego in Aug 8
And finally to my dealer after sitting at the port for 2 weeks, Aug 23.

After waiting 3 months for this car to ship, and over 2 years on the GT waiting list, sadly I won't be able to take delivery until I return from a trip in the middle of September.......Excellent, let's wait some more!!!!
Any way, it is finally here safe and sound.

Here are a couple of photos.....

1) With "pyjamas" on........

2) Unwashed, unprepped, and "no pyjamas" !!!! Whoo Hoo! This was all the peek, I could sneak, before leaving on my trip.

Congrats! Your production times mirror mine almost to the date, and being on the Daisy Leader was like drawing the short straw, but the cars are here now and we can finally enjoy them.

Cheers.
