They all look the same. I don't have one handy with the silver wheels. Sorry about that.

OK. I see that some close-ups to show wear and tear would be useful.
The car has just come out of the beauticians salon (detailer) so I'll get some photos posted asap.

Geez ... one guy wants to know the price, another guy wants to see a photo ... sheesh ... what does it take to sell a car around here?!

I guess I'll have to put some air in the tires, shoo the birds out of their nests in the engine compartment, tow start it with the lawn tractor and poor raw fuel down the carb until it fires up, then tape over the accident damage and take some fuzzy, out of focus "20 foot" photos of its good side ...

Could you clarify this? You leased it, and the options are to buy you out or take over the lease or am I misreading?

I think you have the gist of it.

The lessor is Putnam -- the contract allows for the lease to be reassigned to a new lessee. Putnam owns the car and holds the title. This is true and common to almost all auto lease products today.

When I sell the car, the buyer is either going to purchase the vehicle and take hold of its title from the lessor or the buyer is going to assume the lease contract.

It's sometimes appealing to take over a lease in progress because of the way interest is applied and the remainder of the lease may be effectively "cheaper" (in terms of interest burden) than initiating a new lease. This is more likely the case if interests rates have risen over the course of the lease.

For the cash buyer, this is irrelevant and their only concern is clear title direct from the lessor.

Right, I will do, but for now, I just bumped this thread to see who else is actively looking at the classifieds to get a second "sanity check" on price. I was contacted by someone interested in the car and, aside from comments at the 997 GT3 forum, I wanted a second source of price opinion.

I arrived at the price by surveying every classifieds site listing, plus checking with the lease company and checking Porsche sites. I wanted to revisit that assessment and see if I should adjust the offering price. At present, I think it's fairly in the middle of the market and it's a car with above average equipment (PCCBs, lightweight battery, carbon bucket seats, no froufrou stuff) and above average condition (new Sport Cups with zero miles, below average miles on the car compared to all 2010 and 2011 listings today, 3M paint protection film, fully documented, always at the dealership, and detailed, serviced and CPO checked with no over-revs.)

Once I get it photographed, it will either sell to one of the currently interested parties at the asking price or I'll get around to publishing the photos and then advertising it on the GT3 forum and PCA.org "Mart" to get it "out there." Of course, if I happen across a 4.0 RS in the next month or two, my sense of urgency to sell the 3.8 RS will increase. Anyone with a 430 Scuderia to trade will get to the front of the queue. : )

I didn't say what queue the Fiat offer would go into. : )
