Just looked at these pictures again. I love my Red one but talk about a car made to wear yellow! What a head-turner. Congrats in advance to the next custodian of this beast.

GLWS I love the color on GT2, mine is Black

Do you happen to know if it is possible to import 2008 EU spec GT2 with ClubSport full roll-cage into the USA, which has not been offered at that time in US market (still this option is not available)? If yes what regulation does it must to meet?

Thanks for the insight, I am thinking about selling and consider as well option with import into the USA. Mine has low milage, but not that low. about 35k km which is about 21k miles.

Interior is ClubSport (with full roll-cage) with harness for both sides, so it is pure black with Perlon on GT2 foldable carbon seats (fire retard material, here is the pictures.

What is your color scheme?

Black is always a great color. Hopefully the interior is a yellow pinstripe.

I don't drive mine as much as I should because all the value is in the low miles she has on her. She is a beast though.

The simple answer to your question about importing an EU spec 997 GT2 is that yes, it can be done. The reality, though, is another story. It will require a full DOT conversion ($50-75,000) plus EPA modifications (at least another $20,000) - there are only two firms here that can do this (Wallace Labs and JK Technologies) and they will take anywhere from six months to a year to perform the work (the car must be bonded and in their secure storage during this time). The cage will be removed during this process to comply with NHTSA regulations.

When all is said and done, you'll have a car that you've invested as much as $100,000 in that nobody here wants to buy because it's modified. I would strongly suggest not going this route. If you're thinking of selling it, it's worth more in Europe. If you're moving here, sell it there and buy a NA-spec example once you're here.

In the meantime, and back on topic for the OP, a very rare color that looks fabulous on this body, with a great spec and history!

Hi

I am very greatfull for sharing that reality outlook. You're completly riht it make no sens to go this route, unless sombody wants to purchase to register (use) it outside of the US

The saddest news is the full roll-cage to be removed, which in my opinion makes no sens, but US regulations have no exception.
