Cliff Notes: 2002 Seal Gray, 6MT, PCM, 38.5k miles
Modifications: Bilstein PSS-10, HRE C-90, Speedtech 2.5 Quiet Exhaust, all stock otherwise

Hi all, the time has unfortunately come for me to sell my 911. I spent about a year and a half looking for a clean 996TT in Seal Gray with a 6MT, and this is by far the cleanest I had seen, both exterior and interior. One of the things that drew me to the car was that it was primarily stock with the exception of a select few conservative mods with high-quality parts used (components that I was going to mod to any car I would have purchased anyways). I’ve owned this car for a little less than a year, but an upcoming move to NYC in the next few months means that I am putting the car up for sale as I won’t have garage spaces anymore and I wouldn’t want to park this car on the street as it is absolutely mint condition inside and out.

I purchased it from a fellow forum member last November with 37k miles; as it sits currently, there are ~38,500 miles on the car (it’s used as my second car when the weather is nice out). The car originally came from Maryland from an older lady that drove it sparingly; it was purchased by the PO in San Luis Obispo in 2013 at just over 20k miles, and has been a California car ever since.

When the PO bought it, he had the clutch accumulator changed, added HRE C-90’s w/ Michelin PS2s (tires are in great shape), had an SSK and Bilstein PSS-10's installed and had an alignment / corner balance done. He also added a Speedtech 2.5 Quiet exhaust system (I still have the stock system as well). Also has the Lloyd “Turbo” mats and a clear bra installed on the front hood half way up / on the side mirrors. I will include a car cover and the original exhaust with the sale.

Service was recently done just before I bought it including oil, plugs, coil packs etc. When the exhaust was replaced, the dealer noticed the water pump had a slight leak so it was replaced with a new factory pump. Ignition switch has been replaced as well. There have been zero issues with the car since I have owned it, it has been flawless. Never any issues with 2nd gear popout or rear spoiler not working either. I have the CarFax and records for the maintenance that has been done along with the original build sheet, window sticker and Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche.

The black leather interior is in excellent shape (perforated seats; not the supple leather). It has the aluminum package dials, shifter and brake handle, and the Porsche crests on the seat headrests. Both seats are heated with lumbar support. The body is in excellent shape as well and is detailed at least once a week (I usually spray wax the car in between runs and wash it once a week, and wax every few weeks as needed). The car is always covered and garaged, and never driven in the rain (anyone that has seen this car in person will know why I don’t want to park it outside in NYC!).

I’m sad to see it go, but safe to say whoever purchases this will be getting one heck of a 996TT. A few pictures are attached; if anyone is serious and would like more pictures / would like to come look at the car in person, please don’t hesitate to contact me at Akbar.mirza@hotmail.com (I try to check my PMs every day but email is the fastest / best way to reach me). Located in Los Angeles, CA. Thanks!

Bump for you. I like this car.

I sort of want to replace my 997 gt3 with it. But that doesn't help you.

Bring it over to NYC. I will show you where to park it. You just have to pay!

Nice car, bring it to NYC. Plenty of places to securely park and drive.

Do you have the original wheels and are they included with the sale? Why was the ignition replaced? I'll actually be in LA in 2 weeks.... a 1 way ticket and a road trip back to NY sure would be fun!

Thanks! I've made that drive before, it's a blast if you take your time (I took ~2 weeks off to do it).

I don't have the original wheels, but the person that does is interested in my HREs, so if the buyer wanted the stock wheels on the car instead of the HREs that's something we can work out.

Ignition switch was replaced by the PO; it's a fairly common issue on 996s and boxsters. Yielding a search on rennlist pulls up a number of results, it's a pretty simple replacement and can be DIY'd if desired.

Thanks for the huge amount of interest I've received over the last couple weeks. The car is now sold, going to a great home and I hope a future RLer if not already. Thanks again Rennlist for the quick and easy sale.
