Beautiful car! I'll chime in to say I loved mine as well. Even went back to the well years later and picked up a manual E39 wagon in white. Love the lines. GLWS!

Agreed. The last true BMW was the E46. For $32k you got a coupe with a silky 2.5 and a free sport suspension.

I personally know the owner and I previously owned a 2003 540i M Sport and I can honestly say both the owner and car are first class. If you have been looking for an E39 540i with a 6 speed manual LOOK NO FURTHER!! This may be the most pristine example in existence and IMO it is priced too low.

I might as well jump in and ad that I loved my 2001 with Dinan exhaust, throttle body and chip. My favorite car I've ever owned, hands down.

Thanks for asking. I'm selling it personally as it is my personal car. I will however probably run it through the dealership as a courtesy trade so I get tax credit on the next car I'm buying.

beautiful car. Would love this if i needed a DD. White is pretty hard to find.

Don't M5's go for similar money with more miles?

Ya the M5 E39 is a little more money but a whole less dependable! This is the one to have for a reliable DD.

Maybe you can enlighten us on how you arrived at your conclusion. I had three E39s and loved them but I do not think this is priced to low. I guess if you buy it at asking, the maximum depreciation would be $14K (not bad at todays rates).

I sold my 2003 540i M Sport with automatic and comparable mileage for $20,000. I suspect 6 speeds account for less than 10% of total units built making this one rare and desirable model. Just try to find another 2003 540i with this equipment and mileage.
